Summary
Located in Bassett, the two-story hotel and café were constructed in the Art Moderne style. The establishment was built in 1949-1951 to accommodate the cattle buyers from around the country who came to the Bassett Livestock Auction. The Bassett Lodge and Range Café stands as an important connection to the livestock industry in Bassett and as an excellent example of a streamlined Art Moderne style commercial building that retains a high degree of historic integrity.
