James W. Nicas (1926-2004), Architect
James W. Nicas was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 30, 1926. Before studying architecture, Nicas served in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1944-1946. In 1958, Nicas became a Registered Professional Architect in Nebraska on December 20. From 1964-1967, Nicas was the architect and owner of James W. Nicas & Associates, Architects in Omaha. The firm changed to Nicas-Goldstein Associates, Inc., Architects in 1968, lasting until 1975. In 2000, Nicas became the architect and owner of his firm, James W. Nicas & Associates, in Omaha. Nicas was married to Lorraine. He died January 7, 2014 in Omaha.[2][3]
