Eugene Allen Beam was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 8, 1934.[1] He attended Creighton University for one year, ultimately receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Iowa State University five year later, in 1958. The next year Beam worked for the firm Clark & Enerson in Lincoln, eventually moving to Stanley J. Howe & Associates in Omaha from 1963-1966.
From 1966-1970, Beam worked at the firm of James M. Duffy & Associates in Sioux City, Iowa, and in 1970 he took his last position as an associate at Dewild, Grant, Reckert & Associates Company, in the same city.
