Cecil Andrew Martin was born in Kearney, Nebraska on October 24, 1917 to Andrew and Letta Martin. In 1920 his father was a truck driver and his mother was an "agent" for a corset company. Cecil married Ruth Elizabeth ("Bette") Gilmore in Cass County, Iowa in 1939, beginning a 68 year marriage that resulted in three children. Cecil practiced architecture in Omaha. He died November 13, 2009 in Omaha.[1][2]
