Jon David Carlson was born in Cozad, Nebraska on August 3, 1958 to Maryan and Glenn Carlson. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with his Master’s Degree in Architecture in 1984.[2] Carlson worked for such firms as Dana Larson Roubal Associates and Krhounek & Povondra Architects. Carlson married his wife Valerie in 1985, and they had three daughters; Kalen, Erin, & Sarah. He was principal of the firm Carlson West Povondra Architects for many years. He worked on designs for “justice, education, senior living, community, and religious projects.”[2] Jon D. Carlson died on April 19, 2018.[2]
