'''Harry Willoughby James Edbrooke''' was born July 14, 1874 in Chicago to architect [[Willoughby J. Edbrooke (1843-1896), Architect|Willoughby J. Edbrooke]] and "Nellie" (Elizabeth Isabel ''nee'' O'Brien) Edbrooke. He graduated from the Armour Institute of Technology in 1898, then worked as a draftsman before opening his own firm in 1904. In 1908 he moved to Denver, Colorado to join his uncle, Frank E. Edbrooke, in practice there. He married Lillian Hortense (''nee'' Puckett) Sheeran in 1921 in Denver. He died in Denver July 3, 1946.[[#References|[1][3][4][5]]]

Note that the National Register narrative, Reference [[#References|[2]]], reads as though the second story was part of Edbrooke's original design, whereas we can clearly see Edbrooke's original as a one story brick structure, with a slightly projecting decorative cornice and a wrap-around canopy supported by decorative steel brackets. The framed and plastered second story is a later addition.
